Accessories

The layer of leather that spans the inner compartments of wallets. Linings are susceptible to stains, discolouration and wear often requiring replacement. A section of colour-matched leather is measured and handcrafted to the dimensions of the original lining. The new lining is then inserted and stitched to the inside of the wallet.

Damaged or lost hardware is replaced with high quality silver, metallic or bronze pieces. The new hardware is selected to match the design of the item. Examples may include locks, metal trimmings, rivets and belt buckles. In some cases, the hardware is sourced from our trusted suppliers.

The new holes are evenly spaced across the leather and made to the same size. When shortening the belt a maximum of three additional holes is recommended as any more will often result in excess overhang. Adjusting the length of the belt may offer a better solution.

The length of the belt can be adjusted to fit comfortably. The leather is altered by hand to achieve a custom length. A fitting is conducted find the ideal length of the belt. Excess leather is either taken away or the belt is lengthened by adding matching leather.

A service is available for replacing the belt. A fitting is conducted to find the ideal length of the belt. A section of leather measured and handcrafted to the desired length. A buckle or other hardware is then attached to the new belt.

Various techniques are used for stitching loose seams within leather. These include machine stitching, hand stitching and stitching from inside the leather. Our industrial-grade stitching machines are used for straight seams. Hand stitching is often used for thicker leathers. Stitching from the inside the leather may be required for certain finishes. Our wide selection of threads allows for custom matching of thickness and colour.

A layer of supporting leather is used to to reinforce worn loops, straps, handles, piping or edges. A section of matching leather is measured and handcrafted to the size of the worn area. The new layer is used to reinforce the worn area from an unexposed side. External patching on areas such as corners or edges may require the leather to be refinished with custom matched dye.

Replacing the zip provides the most effective solution to any zip-related issues. A new zip is selected that matches the profile of the original. The zip is fitted and stitched from the inside. Providing the slider is not damaged, it may be re-inserted onto the new track.

Our craftsmen attend to a variety of repairs and fixes that do not fit neatly into other categories.
