Sneaker Tear and Hole Repairs

Sneaker Tears, Holes and Patching

Sneaker patching closes and reinforces torn or worn-through areas. We repair damaged sneakers using leather patches where suitable, assessing the material, construction and location of the damage before recommending a repair. Repairs can remain visible.

Patching and Reinforcing Damaged Sneakers

We use internal and/or external leather patches to close and reinforce damaged areas, with restitching where needed. External patches are recoloured to match the surrounding leather, although a faint join line may remain visible. Send photos of your sneakers to our team today for a quote.

Patching and Reinforcing Damaged Sneakers

Sneaker Tear and Hole Repairs | FAQs

We recolour external leather patches to match the surrounding leather. However, patching is not an invisible repair: a faint join line may remain visible, and an identical texture or finish is not assured. The achievable appearance depends on the material and damage.

We use leather patches to close and reinforce suitable damaged areas. Suitability depends on the sneaker’s material, construction and the size and location of the tear. For suede, mesh or mixed-material sneakers, send photos so we can assess the options rather than assume the same repair suits every material.

The cost depends on the tear’s size and location, and how easily we can access it. Some repairs require opening the lining or removing the sole to reach the damaged area. Send views of both sneakers, the soles and close-ups of the damage for a quote.

We repair torn areas with patches where suitable and restitch seams when needed. A gap beside the sole may instead be adhesive separation requiring regluing. Clear photos of the gap and surrounding material help us assess which repair, or combination of repairs, is appropriate.

We repair deteriorated padded heel linings by restoring worn foam and making new genuine leather backlinings. We colour-match the leather as closely as possible and stitch the linings into place. Send photos of the inside heels so we can assess whether this is the appropriate repair.

We can assess toe holes and side tears for patching and reinforcement. The size and location of the damage, access to the area and the sneaker’s construction determine what is possible. Send close-ups alongside wider views of the shoe; we cannot promise every hole or missing section can be repaired.
