Loops serve as the point of attachment between the strap or handles and the body of a bag. Worn or broken loops are either be reinforced and strengthened with a supporting layer of leather or completely replaced. We recraft new loops from similiar leather and redye to match the original colour.
We replace the lining or reline handbags with worn, damaged or deteriorated linings with matching leather or material. Our craftsmen can incorporate multiple compartments, pockets and zips into new linings for a seamless repair.
We repair or replace worn or damaged leather bag straps. Straps can either be reinforced and strengthened with a supporting layer of leather or completely replaced. We remake new straps from similar leather and redye to match the original colour.

We can change the size of the bag or modifying the structure. For resizing, a measurement is taken to find the ideal dimensions of the bag. The seams of the bag are opened and excess leather is taken away. Reshaping can involve correcting 'saggy' bags by opening the lining and adding leather stiffeners from the inside of the bag.
We shorten or lengthen handbag straps to achieve a customised length. A measurement is taken to determine the ideal length of the strap. Excess leather can either be taken away or the strap can be lengthened, the original look and style of the strap is preserved.

We apply a new wax edging to restore worn handle and strap edges. The edges of the handles or strap are lightly sanded for smoothness and an applicator tool is used to re-wax the edges. Several layers are built up on the leather edges until the wax finish and edging is restored.

Evans cannot assume responsibility for the inherent weakness of, or defects in the leather or materials that are not readily apparent prior to processing. This includes dyeing jobs where the finish will be highly dependent on the quality and condition of the leather.

While we strive to restore items to their original state, it is not always possible to return items to factory condition. Our goal is therefore to restore items to the best condition possible. In addition, some materials and hardware are proprietary of certain brands and there are regulations against using these materials for our repairs. In such cases materials and hardware will be substituted with suitable replacements of similar quality and aesthetics.
The prices listed on the Evans website are to be used as a guide only. We make every attempt to be consistent with our pricing and to provide transperent information regarding our repair processes. Due to the diversity of leather goods and variety of possible services available, prices are always subject to change and we are under no obligation to match the prices listed on our website. If an item is misquoted, we reserve the right to modify the price, and in our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order placed for that item at the incorrect price.

If the returned item satisfies our criteria, it will be processed as a new order and finished according to the original job description. Failure to meet any of the above criteria may result in the workmanship guarantee being declared void and being removed from that particular item.
