Shoe & Boot Waterproofing and Protection | FAQs

We offer water-repellent treatment for leather, suede, nubuck and fabric shoes and boots. Send photos so we can assess your footwear and discuss suitable protection. If there are existing stains or surface damage, we can also assess whether cleaning or restoration would be useful.

No. Our treatment helps repel water and reduce staining, but it does not make footwear completely waterproof. It should not be relied on to keep shoes dry in heavy rain or prolonged wet conditions. Leaking seams or damaged soles need separate assessment rather than protection alone.

We use silicon-free waterproofing agents for leather and suede. Our leather protection treatment is intended to preserve the existing colour and surface appearance, rather than recolour the shoes. If you have a particular finish or material concern, send photos so we can assess it before treatment.

Send photos of your shoes or boots to our team for a quote. We can assess the material and condition and discuss protection, along with any cleaning or restoration that may be useful. You can also bring your footwear to our Melbourne workshop for a consultation.

We can assess cleaning and restoration alongside water-repellent treatment for stained or worn footwear. We also fit rubber sole protectors to the front half of suitable leather soles. These are separate services: surface protection does not remove existing marks or repair worn soles.

Yes. You can post your shoes from anywhere in Australia or visit our Melbourne workshop. Send photos to our team first to discuss the treatment and get a quote before arranging your order.
