Wallet and Purse Repairs | FAQs

The cost depends on the work required and the item’s construction. Send photos showing the whole wallet or purse, the damage and any affected internal compartments. For full relining, size and lining complexity affect the cost, and we need to physically assess your item before providing a definitive quote.

We assess whether a zip can be repaired or needs replacement, including curved zips running around three sides. Broken teeth, torn zip fabric or significant corrosion require replacement. We match size, shape and colour as closely as possible, usually retaining the original puller; otherwise, we use a generic non-branded piece. We can also assess adding a zip.

We can replace wallet and purse linings with leather or fabric from our material selection. Full relining includes pockets and reattachment of zips, hardware and branded tags where possible. We assess the internal construction in person and discuss which details can be retained before providing a definitive quote.

Our restorative clean hydrates and nourishes leather, followed by colour-matched dye on discoloured, stained or scratched areas for a blended finish. We then waterproof the leather. The likely improvement depends on the material and damage; refinishing can address visible marks without necessarily removing the underlying stain.

We can assess loose stitching, split seams, worn corners and damaged hardware such as press studs or clasps. Depending on the construction, work may involve restitching, reinforcement or hardware repair or replacement. Send close-up photos so we can advise on suitable options and any likely visible changes.

Colour changes are available for certain smooth leathers, subject to assessment. We clean, decolourise and strip the original finish before staining and hand-applying pigment. Choose from our in-house colours or provide a physical sample, such as a swatch, for custom matching. We must assess suitability before confirming this service.
